A director living abroad does not have a longer period to punish an employee
Under French law, an employer has a period of two months to institute disciplinary proceedings against an employee. That period shall run from the day on which he became aware of the facts alleged against the employee. The geographical remoteness of the managing director of a company does not justify any derogation from the calculation of the two-month limitation period.
